Most of my illustrative work is created with watercolour pen and ink and my favourite technique is to separate colour and pattern creating an unusual and slightly graphic effect.

 

This works particularly well with the mini watercolour range where each tiny image is an original piece of art. The opposite technique is to paint the image then work into it with a pen and ink which is another favourite and again creates a particular look which can be recognisable.
